Oddly enough, we had our Christmas gathering early this year (on December 10th) in case of inclement weather later in the yuletide season.
Musically… we are only a few days away from the new year. 2023 has been a difficult one for many people in many places. We can wish, hope (and pray) that 2024 will bring… a ray of hope.
 This song was written in 1968 in the midst of the Vietnam War and on the heels of the assassinations of Robert Kennedy and Martin Luther King Jr (a difficult time on its own terms) but its heart is in the right place (even with sixties idiosyncrasies) and as relevant now as when it was recorded.
